Deleting your account and your data
Last updated: 8 August 2026 · Türkçe
You do not need to sign in to play QQuiz; on first launch the app generates a random, anonymous identifier for your device. If you signed in with Google or with an email address and password, those details were attached to that same account. You can delete the account and everything attached to it at any time.
There are two separate requests and you are not obliged to make the bigger one to get the smaller. Deleting your account removes the account itself along with everything it did. Erasing your data removes what the account did and leaves the account standing, so you keep your username, your sign-in and your friends list.
If the app is installed (recommended)
- Tap Settings at the top right of the home screen.
- Choose the Privacy & Data row.
- Press "Delete my account and data" and confirm.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. The app carries on with a brand-new identifier that has no history, and a new username to go with it.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Email derbentselim@gmail.com with "Data deletion request" as the subject. Requests are completed within 30 days at the latest.
Tell us how to find your account. If you signed in with Google or by email, writing from the address attached to your account is enough — we can find the record from it. Including your username speeds it up.
If you never signed in, your record is fully anonymous and you will need to quote your anonymous identifier. You could have copied it from Settings → Privacy & Data before uninstalling. Write anyway if you no longer have it: reinstalling and pressing the delete button will not remove your old record, because a fresh install generates a fresh identifier. In that case the old record, being anonymous, cannot be tied to anybody and simply remains inactive.
What is deleted
- Your server-side account record: the anonymous identifier, your username, your avatar, your language preference, your daily streak and your credit counter
- Your email address and the hash of your password, and your Google account link — whichever you used
- The history of which questions you were shown, and whether you got them right
- Your thumbs-up / thumbs-down votes on questions
- Any question reports you sent
- Your daily contest and duel results, including your rows on the leaderboards
- Your on-device progress: tokens, level, energy, badges and per-category records
What is retained
- Usage statistics (counter rows of the form "a player opened this screen") are not deleted, but their link to your account is permanently severed: the account field on the row is emptied and nothing pointing at you remains. This is so that deleting one account does not retroactively change totals for past months.
- Server access logs (IP address and request time) are kept for security for at most 30 days and then deleted automatically. They are not linked to your account.
- Questions that were corrected or removed because of a report you sent stay in the question pool; those questions are not your data.
Erasing your data without deleting your account
If what you want gone is your record rather than your account, you do not have to give up the account to get it. This request keeps your username, your Google or email sign-in, your credit balance and your friends list, and erases everything you did.
- Tap Settings at the top right of the home screen.
- Choose the Privacy & Data row.
- Press "Erase my data, keep my account" and confirm.
It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you have uninstalled the app, email the address above with "Data erasure request" as the subject instead, and say that you want your data erased but your account kept.
What this erases
- The history of which questions you were shown, and whether you got them right
- Your thumbs-up / thumbs-down votes on questions
- Any question reports you sent
- Your daily contest and duel results, including your rows on the leaderboards
- Your daily streak, reset to zero
- The text you wrote in any report you filed about another player
- Your on-device progress: tokens, level, energy, badges and per-category records
- The link between your account and the usage statistics described above, severed in the same way as on account deletion
What this keeps, and why
- Your account: username, avatar, language, your Google or email sign-in and your credit balance. That is the point of this request rather than the other one.
- Your friends list, and anyone you have blocked. A block is not a private note about your own activity — it is a decision about another person, and lifting it as part of a data request would silently re-open a door you closed. You can remove a friend or lift a block yourself at any time from the friends list.
- Reports other players filed about your account. Those belong to whoever wrote them; a report that the reported account could erase would not protect anybody. Reports you filed about others are kept for the same reason, but the text you typed into them is erased.
- Records of rewarded ads you watched (the time and the reward, nothing else). They are what the daily limit on rewarded ads is counted from, so clearing them while keeping the account would reset that limit on demand. A record for an ad that never paid out expires by itself within minutes; one that did is kept for as long as the account is, and is deleted with it.
